Installing a font with a GPP is quite easy. You can set the font file to copy from a source folder to the C: Windows Fonts folder, and in the same GPP, set up the relevant registry key. After a reboot, the font is available for use. Installing fonts in Windows 7 (Home) Hello I have installed a couple of Chinese fonts which are now in my Windows Fonts folder (I cannot use the default Chinese fonts because I only have the HOme Premium edition of Windows 7 and not the Ultimate edition).
Installing your Type 1 or OpenType .otf fonts on Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2 or Mac OS X “Classic” requires ATM Light 4.6 or later (4.6.2 for Mac OS X Classic).
If you are running Mac OS X, decide if you want to install fonts into both the Classic environment and the OS X native environment. If you want your fonts to be accessible to both Classic and Carbon/native applications, install your fonts into the Classic environment. If the fonts only need to be accessible to Carbon/native applications, install into the OS X native environment instead.
Note: Do not move an entire folder containing fonts into the System location. The Mac OS can only read font files that are loose in the system font location; it can’t read files inside another folder.
To install your fonts using a font management utility (e.g., Extensis Suitcase, Font Reserve, FontAgent Pro or MasterJuggler), refer to that utility’s documentation for instructions on adding and activating the fonts.
If you are using ATM Light without a font management utility. use the following instructions to install the fonts:
recently i've downloaded a few fonts from the following sitehttp://www.dafont.com/it worked perfectly fine on word, when i'm chosing default font it even appears on the list, however i can't find it on fonts list while writing, and since i would like to use 3~4 fonts on this text, choosing one as default isn't an option. how can i put libreoffice to show it on my fonts list?in other words, how can i change my font to one i have but isn't on the list without making it my default font?
/user/share/fonts is where you install the fonts. You'll see several folders for ttf, TTF & etc. copy or move the fonts to the corresponding folder. New fonts will show up when you restart LibreOffice.
Excellent! It works perfect in Fedora. let me add a little detail. It's /usr/share/fonts and not /user/share/fonts.Thanks!
Mazdaspeed side skirts mx5. /usr/share/fonts didn't work for me (Ubuntu 14.04 + LibreOffice 4.2).
I copied all my Windows and Microsoft Office fonts into Gv r92s128t driver windows 7.
/home/YOUR USER NAME HERE/.local/fonts
so that I can use all MS Windows/ MS Office fonts like Calibri, Calibri Light etc.
